EXPERIENCE:

She is experienced in working with people across the lifespan, including children, teens, families, and adults. Her professional experience began by supporting those with co-occurring disorders as they navigated addiction and worked towards the implementation of skills and strategies for a more healthy and fulfilling life. In recent years, her focus has broadened to include more work with children, where she enjoys facilitating therapeutic play and sand tray interventions. In her work with couples, Autumn draws from the Gottman methodology, which is a research-based method focused on disarming conflict and increasing communication, empathy, and connection. Autumn is passionate about educating others, clients and clinicians, and has been privileged to present at multiple state conferences when living in Texas. She maintains ownership of an active private practice in the state of Texas and knows that all the details matter when it comes to caring for clients well.
COUNSELING PERSPECTIVE:
Autumn believes in the power of therapy as a space to find clarity, direction, and support. One of her main goals is to assist her clients in uncovering their own strengths, and help them to develop tools that will facilitate their journey towards positive change. Autumn understands that though our past experiences can shape us, they don’t have to define us. In therapy sessions with Autumn, she utilizes Narrative and Structural Family Therapy Approaches, which may incorporate Strategic Therapy, Sand Tray work, Therapeutic play, and Solution-focused interventions such as; Rational Emotional Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and The Gottman Method.
